Energy Saving Has Birght Future in Riley County

Manhattan, Kan.-- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star program recognized Riley County for its commitment to saving energy Monday.

Riley County residents and employees pledged to change more than three-thousand light bulbs to energy saving bulbs as part of energy Star's "Change the World" campaign.

Office Depot rewarded the commitment to saving energy by giving Riley county one-thousand free compact flourescent bulbs.

The donated light bulbs will be distributed throughout riley county to those in need.
