Couple Differ in Outcome of Charges of Arson and Insurance Fraud

Different outcomes for a former Shawnee Heights Firefighter and his wife charged with arson and insurance fraud.

Laramie and Christine McPherson were accused of deliberately burning their car to defraud an insurance company.

Court records show Christine entered an agreement and pleaded no contest friday to the arson count, the state will recommend 12 months probation instead of 24 when she's sentenced May 8th.

However, records indicate an agreement could not be reached with Laramie McPherson, he's due back in court June 4th to set a date for a jury trial.
