Four area students took part in a graduation ceremony that marks the 38th such event for a local program that helps the homeless.
The group received certificates from the Topeka Moving Ahead Program.
Organizers say students obtain skills, receive assistance in finding permanent housing , complete a real-world internship and learn many other things necessary to succeed.
The group partners with the Topeka Rescue Mission and 96 other businesses and agencies to help the students find employment.
More than 350 people have graduated from the program since it began in 2003.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has awarded funding for the group through 2010.
