4 Finalists Announced for Kan. College's Top Job

TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) _ A Kansas Board of Regents search committee
has named four finalists for the presidency of Pittsburg State
University.
The regents announced Friday that the candidates include the
university's provost.
The regents expect to name a new president this spring to
replace Tom Bryant, who's stepping down at the end of the current
academic year.
The candidates include Steven Scott, the provost and vice
president for academic affairs at Pittsburg State University.
The other finalists are Diana Carlin, a communications studies
professor and former graduate school dean at the University of
Kansas; Thomas Keon, dean of the business administration at the
University of Central Florida in Orlando; and Fletcher Lamkin, a
vice president at Dominican University of California in San Rafael.
