Domestic Dispute Ends with Felony Charges

TOPEKA, Kan.-- A domestic dispute led to road rage and then a person being taken into custody with felony charges Sunday in Shawnee County.

The Shawnee County Sheriff's Office responded to a domestic dispute at 4250 Southeast Stubbs Sunday afternoon.

Upon deputies arrival the dispute had turned into road rage with a 17 year old driving a red SUV and an older man chasing him with a green truck. The SUV driven by the 17-year-old went off the road at 45th and Southeast Stubbs. At that point the older man returned home and the 17-year old fled the scene.

Later the juvenile told sheriff's deputies that someone inside the house could be in danger because the older man had weapons.

Sheriff's deputies surrounded the house and the older man came out of the house peacefully.

No injuries have been reported but felony charges are expected against the older man.
