Investigators say the death of a pest control worker in a driveway appears to be from natural causes.

The Shawnee County Sheriff's Office says a passerby spotted the man just before 6:30 pm Friday in the 7900 block of SE Highway 40, about a mile from the Douglas County line.

Sgt. Justin Vest say the victim was the owner of a pest control company, but they don't believe that is related. Sgt. Vest says the man was well away from his truck where chemicals were, and it does not appear the chemicals played a role in his death.

Sgt. Vest says the coroner will investigate and make a final determination.

The victim's name was not being released. Sgt. Vest says he did not live in the area, but was in town visiting friends.
