A traffic slowdown in North Topeka will shift into a new gear Thursday.
Westbound U.S. Hwy. 24 over the Goodyear Road bridge remains reduced to one lane. Thursday morning, the closure will move to the right-hand lane so crews canfinish up repair on the right side of the bridge.
They're fixing damage caused by an accident in early March. The lefthand westbound lane has been closed since then.
The Kansas Dept. of Transportation says drivers should expect minor delays. The work should be done by Monday.
