The victim of an armed robbery in Topeka described a tattoo that was on the suspect’s right hand between the thumb and finger. The tattoo was a picture of an 8 ball with the word SOUTH above and the word SIDE under the 8 ball.
Topeka Police Detectives are requesting assistance from the public in identifying a robbery suspect.
On Sunday March 14, 2009 at 10:15 am, police say an individual reported to police that he was the victim of an armed robbery.
The victim told police that he works for a transportation service. He had stopped in the vacant parking lot at 1900 block of SW 10th where he often waits for calls.
While victim was sitting there, he told police, an unknown black male approached the door of his vehicle from behind. The suspect pointed a black semi-auto handgun at him and demanded money. The victim gave the suspect his wallet and the suspect took what money he had and tossed the wallet on the ground. The suspect then ran north through the alley.
The victim described the suspect as a black male, 6’3”, 160, wearing a ski mask with a marijuana leaf on it.
The victim also described a tattoo that was on the suspect’s right hand between the thumb and finger. The tattoo was a picture of an 8 ball with the word SOUTH above and the word SIDE under the 8 ball.
