Governor Names Appointments to Military Disability Board

Governor Kathleen Sebelius announced Friday her appointments to the Kansas Military Disability Board.

Kansas has a strong tradition of supporting our veterans,” Sebelius said. “I am thankful for this board’s work in ensuring that veterans receive the disability and awards compensation they deserve.”

Brigadier General John Davoren, Ft. Leavenworth, serves as the assistant division commander for the 35th Infantry Division.

Colonel John Andrew, Ft. Leavenworth, serves as deputy commanding general for the 35th Infantry Division.

Colonel Scott Dold, Topeka, serves as the senior legal advisor to the Kansas Adjutant General’s Department.

All appointees will serve at the pleasure of the governor.

The Kansas Military Disability Board determines percentage of total disability and awards compensation for disability or death in accordance with provisions of K.S.A. 48-261 to 48-271.
