(Lawrence, KS)--The Sigma Alpha Epsilon chapter at the University of Kansas mourned the loss of one of its members. 19-year-old Jason Wren died last weekend. While authorities say they continue to investigate, his father says he has been told his son died of alcohol poisoning.

A representative of the national chapter was on hand for the memorial service and said they are also investigating. He said there were no official functions going on the night of Wren's death, and they are looking into Wren's past.

He said they were not deflecting blame for what happened to the deceased, but they want to get to the bottom of what happened.

Wren's father has called for the fraternity to go dry, which is a possibility. The spokesperson said it was too early to speculate on the future of the frat, but said if any current member was involved they will be held to the highest level of responsibility.
