TOPEKA, Kan.-- One person was killed in a rollover accident in Pottawatomie County Wednesday evening.

It happened at US-24 Highway and Legion Lane, just east of Manhattan.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says a Kia Sorrento was headed west on US-24 when a GMC truck, a Schwan's delivery truck, northbound on Legion Lane failed to yield. The Kia ran into the truck on its passenger side, causing the truck to flip.

25-year-old Dustin Alan Hodges, a passenger in the Kia, died at the scene.

Both the driver of the Kia, 24-year old Michael Ippert, and another passenger, 19-year old Joshua Johnson of Wamgeo, were taken to local hospitals with injuries. None was wearing a seat belt.

The driver of the truck, 35-year old Stefan Yates of Olsburg, was not hurt.
