A full slate of events at Heartland Park is good news for race fans.
It includes its traditional main attraction, the NHRA O'Reilly Summer Nationals, May 29th to 31st.
Irwin also announced the facility's new premier event, the AMA Pro Racing Motorcycle series, July 31st to August 2nd.
The AMA was acquired and realigned by the Daytona Motorsports Group in 2008. Topeka will be Round 10 in a 13-event 2009 lineup. It's expected to attracts tens of thousands of spectators.
"We anticipate the economic impact on the city of Topeka and surrounding area to rival that of the NHRA O'Reilly Summer Nationals," Steve Johnson, Heartland Park Topeka chairman, said.
The 2009 Heartland Park season will kick off April 18 with the new Super Saturday Showdown series on the dirt track.
Heartland Park Topeka also announced its latest major partner Tuesday, Briggs Auto.
