Garmin Laying Off Employees

Garmin Ltd. announced Monday that it will lay off 141 people as the economy stalls its record growth.

The navigation business has 2,510 employees in the Kansas City area and 9,500worldwide.

Employees are being let go in the company's human resources, marketing administration and product support divisions.

The job losses will be in Olathe or at two area service centers.
