“Kansas needs more nurses and I’m thankful for the work of this board in licensing and ensuring quality nurses in every part of our state,” Sebelius said.
Brenda Moffitt, McPherson, has worked as an advanced practice nurse at the Salina Regional Health Center since 2002. An active member of the community, Moffitt currently serves as the chair of the Kansas Council for Nursing Education and Practice and serves on the board of directors for the Kansas Organization of Nurse Leaders. She received her master’s degree in nursing from Wichita State University. Moffitt has been appointed to serve on the board until 2011.
The Kansas State Board of Nursing was created to protect the public health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Kansas through the licensure and regulation process of nursing professionals.
