Road construction will begin in five northeast Kansas counties this week.
Weather permitting crews will be repairing unlevel pavement.
In Shawnee County work will begin on US-75 mile marker 167.9 and mile marker 168.7 both in the northbound passing lane.
In Jackson County crews will be working on US-75 mile marker 178.5 - both of the southbound lanes will be affected.
In Lyon county on US-50 crews will be working on the westbound lanes at mile markers 339.203, 339.23, 340.969, and 340.983 they will also be working on the eastbound lane at that site.
The repair project will affect several other areas throughout the week from nine until three each day.
According to KDOT westbound I-70 will be reduced to one lane at the Polk Quincy viaduct bridge for drain cleaning work.
2nd Street to westbound I-70 entrance ramp will also be closed Monday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
The Kansas Department of Transportation says drivers should expect minor delays and are advised to use alternate routes.
The west side will be closed for two weeks and the east side will close for two weeks after that.
The road will not close but parking will not be allowed on the working side.
