The field of candidates for Topeka Mayor was whittled from five to three in Tuesday's primary election.

Incumbent Bill Bunten easily outpaced the challengers, topping the field with 6449 votes. Deputy Mayor Jeff Preisner was second with 2073. Jon-Wesley O'Hara captured the third spot on the general election ballot, garnering 581 votes.

Jason Dabney and Randal Trackwell rounded out the voting with 406 and 358 votes respectively.

All three candidates say they'll be working to get their message out in the coming weeks leading up to the April 7th general election.
