The Salvation Army is going the extra mile to support locals in need.
The organization announced Monday its new "Faith Stimulus Package", it will directly deposit desperately needed funds to local people and families who have recently lost their jobs.
The money will come from its central headquarters in Illinois, which is making more than $3 million available for eleven Salvation Army units in the Midwest.
The most a state can get is $18,000, and in order to receive the money, they have to raise half.
