TOPEKA, Kan. - On February 12, 2009, at 1:59 AM, Topeka Police responded to a 911 call reporting a robbery at the home at 237 SE 35th Terrace.
Officers interviewed occupants at the residence and were able to piece together the following information:
There were several people in the residence prior to the robbery taking place. Those in the residence were expecting a couple of friends to arrive when there was a knock on the door. They opened the door to find two male subjects wearing black hooded sweatshirts and ski-masks. The eye holes were big enough for the victims to see and recall some details of the robbers.
Witnesses say one robber was Caucasian and one was African-American. They told police the Caucasian male displayed a silver & black semi-automatic handgun.
During the robbery, the two expected friends arrived becoming victims as well. Some cash was taken from a couple of the victims. The robbers then fled the residence. Witnesses told officers the two criminals got into a larger light blue 4-door, described as similar to a “Lincoln” and drove away eastbound on SE 35th Terr.
