WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ A federal magistrate judge sets bond for a Kansas nurse imprisoned for more than a year while awaiting trial.

Linda Schneider is charged along with her husband, Dr. Stephen Schneider, in a federal indictment alleging they wrongfully prescribed medication at their Haysville clinic. Stephen Schneider was released on bond last April, but his wife remained jailed as a flight risk.

On Monday, Magistrate Judge Donald Bostwick set bond for Linda Schneider at $100,000 cash, with electronic monitoring. Defense lawyer Eugene Gorokhov says Schneider could be released late this week.

The Schneiders' trial had been set for this week. But the case is on hold while prosecutors appeal a decision allowing them to present evidence in just four deaths.

The indictment had linked the clinic to 59 deaths in all.
