Patrick O'Brien was flying a Cessna 208B Grand Caravan from Omaha to Alliance as an airmail pilot when he ran into icy conditions and crashed. He says he suffered brain injuries, nerve damage and broken bones.
He alleges Cessna and others responsible knew the plane was poorly designed for icy conditions.
The lawsuit was refiled Wednesday in U.S. District Court to add engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney Canada Corp. and Cessna parent company Textron. The original lawsuit was filed in Douglas County District Court in 2008.
