In a letter sent Wednesday, vice president Rich Jiwandlal did not provided details on anticipated layoffs. Jiwandlal, who heads the firm's human resources department, writes only that the company expects to finalize the plan within the next few weeks.
He assures employees that the company is taking every step to minimize the impact on workers, their families and Hawker Beechcraft.
His letter comes two weeks after Chief Executive Officer Jim Schuster told workers to expect a second round of layoffs. Nearly 500 workers lost their jobs late last year.
