377 Local Mathletes Participate In Annual Sumday Competition

As the Final Four was being played in Atlanta Saturday night, "mathletes" competed in their own competition.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-As the Final Four was being played in Atlanta Saturday night, "mathletes" competed in their own competition.

More than 300 of Topeka's best and brightest math minds competed at Washburn Rural Middle School at the annual "Sumday" math competition.

4th and 8th graders represented nearly 30 elementary and schools in the Topeka area.

There were 2 written events; one with calculators and one without. The top 10 scorers on each test for each grade received ribbons and the top 3 received medals.
