Topeka police have released surveillance footage of a man they believe may be connected to a theft and illegal use of a credit card.
The suspect used the card at East Side Liquor and at Wal-Mart, according to police. Both locations provided the surveillance photos. The victim also told police that someone had tried to use one of her cards at the Wal-Mart on Wanamaker, but it was declined.
On December 20, 2008, she had reported the purse stolen from a backpack in a room at the VA Hospital at 2200 SW Gage that afternoon.
