Concerned citizens let Topeka Transit know exactly what they think about possible new bus routes. Thursday night was the first of three meetings to talk about why the routes may be changed.
Topeka Transit says it wants to avoid dangerous neighborhoods and poor street conditions. Many of the upset bus riders were from the VA hospital. They want to make sure they will still have easy access to the public transportation system.
The next meeting is Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. The final meeting is January 20 at 3:00 p.m. Transit board members will be in attendance. Both meetings will be at the Quincy Street station.
