Hawker Beechcraft warns its employees to expect more layoffs as economic conditions continue to deteriorate. Chief Executive Officer Jim Schuster says in a letter sent to workers Thursday that the general aviation market has slowed.
He says new orders have fallen off considerably and many existing orders have been terminated. Schuster also notes that the used aircraft inventory has increased dramatically. The letter does not say how many workers will lose their jobs in what will be the second round of layoffs at the Wichita-based aircraft maker.
