KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Kansas City man pleaded guilty to a federal cyberstalking charge for sending a woman harassing e-mails and posting bogus Web ads inviting men to her home.

Before entering the plea Wednesday, Shawn Memarian told a judge that his relationship with a woman he met online "ended in a sour way" but understands that he crossed the line.

Memarian faces up to five years in prison.

The two met in mid-June 2006 while Memarian was working as a civilian contractor at Fort Leavenworth. Records show that when the relationship cooled about a month later, the threatening e-mails started.

Her posted internet ads revealing her phone number and home address, and calling her a "sex freak" seeking sexual encounters.

She received calls and visits at her home from about 30 unknown men.

The woman has since moved out of state.
