WICHITA - Wichita media is reporting that the sister of a boy who disappeared nearly a decade ago called welfare officials in November inquiring about her adopted brother.
The investigation into the whereabouts of Adam Herrman started
around the same time.
Adam disappeared in 1999 at the age of 11. But no missing person
report ever was filed.
His sister, Crystal Espinosa, declined to talk to an Associated
Press reporter who went to her home today.
But a former sister-in-law of Adam's adopted mother told The AP
that Espinosa had cried about how her family treated Adam.
Butler County Sheriff Craig Murphy has declined to say where the
tip that launched the investigation came from.
