Hearing Continued for Student Accused of Threatening Principal

WAMEGO, Kan. - Pottawatomie County Attorney Sherri Schuck said Wednesday a hearing scheduled for Calvin Riney, 16, is continued to February 11 at 10 a.m.

Riney is charged with two counts of criminal threat stemming from an incident December 22. According to Wamego police, the student was suspected of threatening an assistant principal at Wamego High School with bodily harm.

Riney was arrested and taken to a juvenile detention facility, but has since been released to his parents.
