Employees at four local agencies are delighted with their early Christmas gifts.
A ceremony was held Friday for representatives of Breakthrough House, Community Action, Door step, and the Topeka Rescue Mission in appreciation for the help they give homeless in Topeka and Shawnee County.
They were surprised with desk-top computers, which they will use to enter data into a state-wide network that tracks homeless. A program called "Everybody Counts" is being conducted next month, which counts the homeless individuals in the state of Kansas.
You can volunteer for the count by visiting the state of Kansas website at www.kansas.gov.
