A 17-year-old accused in a homicide in Lawrence back in June will spend more than fourteen years behind bars. Kellam Jones was sentenced Friday in district court for the second degree murder of 20-year-old Roland Klundt.
Jones and Gage Hauk went to Klundt's home June 7th to rob him of drugs and money. Klundt shot and killed Hauk in an attempt to stop the robbery. In turn, Jones shot Klundt eight times and killed him.
Jones was sentenced to 170 months in prison and three years of supervision after that.
