A suspicious letter scare locked down Forbes Field Tuesday. An Air National Guard spokesman said security forces put Forbes on lock down at about 8:00 a.m. because mail room employees received what they call an odd looking piece of mail.
It's standard procedure that any suspicious letter or package be checked out by security forces and the base put on lockdown. The letter was deemed not harmful and Forbes was back to normal procedures by eleven.
