A preliminary hearing is set for the woman involved in a police chase that injured a Lawrence officer. 27-year old Barbara Jo Schnegelsiepen appeared for a short time while her attorney asked for a Douglass County judge to reduce her bond.

The judge denied the request. Schnegelsepen faces eleven charges including aggravated assault, aggravated battery to a law enforcement officer, and aggravated burglary. Schnegelsiepen is charged with leading Lawrence police on a chase on December 2, after they'd tried to stop her on suspicious of some home break-ins.

An officer who was standing outside his vehicle was hit during the chase. Schneglsiepen is being held on $350,000 bond. The preliminary hearing is set for January 13.
