Car seat maker Britax Frontier recalled several of its models due to concerns over their harnesses.
The manufacturer says the harness straps may detach from their metal yoke (splitter plate) on the back of the child seat, if they are repeatedly loosened one strap at a time.
Britax warns if the harness straps become detached, the child could risk a greater chance of injury in an accident.
The affected models are labelled E9L54E7, E9L54H6, E9L54H7, E9L54M6 manufactured from 4-1-2008 to 9-14-2008 as well aas model E9L5490 manufactured from 4-1-2008 to 9-17-2008.
Owners will be provided two rubber caps they can install whch will prevent the straps from coming detached. They must though request the parts by january 7th.
