A Fed Ex driver took an unwanted detour on his delivery route.
He was headed to Salina, on Interstate 70 Thursday when his tractor trailer blew a tire. It careened down an embankment and into the Solomon River.
The driver may have been in the truck for four hours before he was able to swim to shore, and flag down a passing driver. He was taken to a nearby hospital for cuts and abrasions, and possible hypothermia.
Divers were called to assist in getting the truck out of the water.
