Random drug testing in a Northeast Kansas School District could be seen as early as next semester.
The Clay Center Dispatch reported Tuesday that the Clay Center School Board will use "Sport Safe" to conduct the testing if it gets approved.
Sports Safe is an Iowa based company that specializes in random drug testing for schools. The newspaper says the school board is questioning whether sixth graders should be included in the testing.
A meeting will be held January 5 if the board approves the policy and signs a contract with kids safe the testing could start second semester.
