A date is set for the city to auction off the former Sumner Elementary School.
It's one of the buildings linked to the historic Brown versus Board of Education desegregation case.
The auction will be conducted at 6 pm, January 22nd in the first floor conference room of the Holliday Building. The date is appearing in articles on the National Trust for Historic Preservation's web site.
The auction is the city's latest effort to bring new life to the building.
The city has previously set out conditions for bidding, including a minimum bid of $50,000. Bidders also must submit a financial plan at least two weeks before the auction.
