A south-central Kansas family is rewarded for turning in $7,000 at a Goodwill store in Wichita. Earlier this month, 5-year-old kindergartner Claire Dingler of Maize found the cash stuffed in an envelope and lying on the floor.

She gave the cash to her mother, Ginger Johnson, who turned it in
to a store employee. The owner was tracked down, and he offered his thanks. But Claire and her mother didn't get a reward until an anonymous donor heard the story and decided to give Johnson $500.

The family also has received gift cards, and one group is preparing a trophy to present to Claire. Johnson told Wichita TV station KWCH that she is thankful because it has been a hard year.
