GARNETT, Kan. (AP) _ Crews continue to clean up an eastern Kansas ethanol spill that closed a section of U.S. 169 for hours and caused one home to be evacuated.

Investigators say a semitrailer carrying 7,600 gallons of ethanol rolled over Monday afternoon near Garnett.

Anderson County Emergency Management spokesman Michelle Miller says the fuel spilled onto the highway and into nearby ditches.

Miller says the truck had just left the East Kansas Agri-Energy ethanol plant before the rollover.

The driver was treated for minor injuries and released at the scene.

The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

One lane of U.S. 169 was open Tuesday morning after the highway was closed throughout the night.
