TOPEKA - The Twilighter Country Club will remain open.
The club at 816 1/2 North Kansas Avenue had until 5 pm Monday to bring the bar portion of the building up to code. Employees, volunteers, hired help and former tenants pitched in, and the code enforcement unit allowed them to stay open to the public.
Twilighter owner Jack Seitz also rents apartments in the building. Tenants had to be out by the 5 pm deadline. Improvements must be made for them to be deemed livable again.
Any complaints about problem property can be made to firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling (785) 368-3161.
