The fight over whether the Topeka City Council gave proper approval for buying a new software system and police helicopter returned to court Tuesday.
City attorneys and Shawnee County District Attorney Robert Hecht presented arguments on a motion for summary judgment. Hecht claims the purchases were not valid. He's asking Judge Larry Hendricks to issue a ruling based on the facts and legal issues already presented.
Judge Hendricks could issue a ruling, ask for additional information or proceed to a trial. It's not known when Hendricks will make a decision.
