Area emergency responders are improving their plans of action this week.
The Northeast Regional Incident Management Team is meeting for training in Topeka Tuesday and Wednesday.
They're going over procedures for deploying to a disaster like a tornado or an attack, and how to make sure everyone is working together.
They also unveiled new equipment from Homeland Security, including a mobile command trailer to be housed in Lyon County.
The regional team is made up of law enforcement, fire, emergency management, hospital and other personnel from 23 counties.
