Mayetta - The Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation made the holidays and the rest of the year a little brighter for some area residents.
Let's Help Inc. traveled to the Potawatomi Nation administration building Thursday to be presented with a $20,000 check.
The agency says they'll use the funds to provide holiday food boxes to clients, provide rent assistance, and give scholarships to students enrolled in the Adult Education/GED program.
Prairie Band representatives say they are glad to help and that some tribal members benefit from Let's Help.
Craig Snyder, Executive Director of Let's Help, says they depend on gifts like this to help their clients. Let's Help works directly with the utility companies and landlords. Financial assistance is never given directly to the client.
