DODGE CITY (AP) _ An international couple searched the world over for the perfect bed and breakfast to operate.
And Kurt and Enid Scadden found what they were looking for in Dodge City.
Two years ago, they bought a four-story blond brick Dutch colonial known as Boot Hill Bed and Breakfast. It sits atop a hill overlooking historic Front Street.
Kurt Scadden is from Denver and his wife is from England. He says the Boot Hill Bed and Breakfast was perfect right from the start.
The historic landmark boasts several rooms with Jacuzzis, and every room has large white terrycloth robes and jars of Enid's home-made cookies.
Enid Scadden says the town has name recognition the world over.
And she and her husband say the arrival of a destination casino promises to make the town even more popular.
