Shawnee County is making sure everything's in order to count the advanced votes, plus those cast election day.

Elections Commissioner Elizabeth Ensley spent most of the day in "board school".

She makes sure all those who'll be working at the precincts election day know how to operate the machines and the procedures for dealing with any conflicts that might come up.

Meantime over at the elections office, the Accu-vote optical scanning equipment and touch screen voting equipment that will be used Tuesday was put through the paces.

Eight elections inspectors from different political parties observed the test.

We're told no major issues came up Tuesday, testing will finish up Wednesday.
