Capital City School Holds Pancake Breakfast

The student council at Capital City School took an opportunity to raise funds for several organizations, while learning some good lessons.

The group hosted a pancake feed at the school. Students acted as both workers and cooks.

Organizers say the students are boosting leadership skills by learning social skills. They also say the interaction improves the students' reading, writing and math.

The students volunteer their own time for the project.

Some of the funds raised will benefit the Ronald McDonald House and the Salvation Army.
