TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) An abortion rights political action committee faces questions from the state ethics commission about whether it improperly failed to report donors' names.
The Governmental Ethics Commission has a Nov. 19 hearing to determine whether Wichita-based ProKanDo should be fined up to $15,000.
Abortion provider Dr. George Tiller formed the PAC in 2002.
One issue is $37,000 the PAC reported it received in 2006 from a company, Hudson Bay of Illinois. The firm solicited the contributions, ``bundled'' them and sent them to the PAC.
The PAC was supposed to report the name of each individual donor, not just the amount collected from the fundraiser.
PAC Chairwoman Julie Burkhart did not return a cell phone message left Wednesday morning.
