Jurors Deliberating in Killing of Pregnant Teen

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ A jury is deliberating the fate of Wichita
man charged with capital murder in the death of a 14-year-old girl
who was pregnant with his baby.
Chelsea Brooks was nine months' pregnant when she was killed in
2006. Her body was found in a makeshift grave in rural Butler
County.
Sedgwick County prosecutors say Elgin ``Ray Ray'' Robinson Jr.
paid a friend to kill the girl because he was afraid of being
charged with raping a minor. Robinson denies the charges and
testified last week that Chelsea was the love of his life.
In closing arguments Tuesday, Robinson's lawyer said the friend
killed Chelsea out of revenge after being cast aside for getting
involved with selling drugs.
The jury deliberated briefly Tuesday afternoon and resumes its
work Wednesday morning.
