A single-engine plane made an emergency landing on a Kansas highway Sunday, causing traffic problems but no injuries. The Kansas Highway Patrol says the pilot was preparing to land Sunday afternoon at the Salina airport when the engine quit. One of the fuel tanks had
emptied, and the pilot was trying to switch to the other one.
The engine would not restart though, forcing the landing on an interstate highway. The pilot and his wife, who was in the plane with him, were not injured.
