Week Without Violence Kicks Off

A candle-light vigil is held Sunday out a Lake Shawnee for victims and survivors of domestic violence.

Bonnie and Matt Goodwin of Oakland Church of the Nazarene spoke to the group about the struggles of those in relationships with violence.

It was a time for survivors to reflect on the past while looking forward.

There are week without violence events being held all week here in the Capital City.

Monday is Chalk at the Capitol
Tuesday events will be held at Washburn University
Wednesday is the March and Rally
Thursday is "Speak up and Speak out"
