The Kansas Department of Health and Environment is working to find the source of two cases of E.coli.

Two children have died from the disease in the past few days.

One was in Seward county, the other in Chase county.

The KDHE says the deaths were unrelated and were caused by different E. coli serotypes.

To avoid exposure to E. coli you should wash your hands thoroughly after using the bathroom or changing diapers.

Also avoid uncooked and raw beef and dairy products.
